It hardly seems possible that December will soon be here and our year as RIF Ambassadors will be over. Before the busy holiday season begins, I would like to say thanks to all the RIF Staff and RIF Ambassadors for giving your time and sharing your talents this year. We have begun planning our Books and Brownies event. It is our fall kick off event. Usually it takes place in September but do to various medical leaves amongst the committee, it has been pushed to the beginning of December.

Many years ago, we had a teacher who had a passion for books and baking die of cancer. As a tribute to her, we began Books and Brownies. At our fall event, the students are told the story of Mrs. Bowin and her famous homemade brownies that she use to make for her students.… Continue
